Rescued Greyhound being medically cared for.

Greyhound Rescues are a major part of our work. Our Greyhound dog rescues usually start with a phone call. Sometimes from a greyhound breeder, others from an overloaded Greyhound rescue group that have more than they can handle. Many times it is a mass call for help like when a greyhound track closes. Click here to see a rescue that is now in progress.
On a greyhound rescue we find Greys in all types of condition. Like Maddie, discarded on the highway because she was a runt. Then picked up by animal control. Someone like yourself found out where she was and called for help. Maddie was a true Greyhound rescue adoption. We had Maddie rescued and adopted before we had her in our possession an hour. But she had to have work before she went to her forever home. She had heart worms and needed extensive treatment. But she is fine now and living in South Carolina. She is a Greyhound rescue success story.
Whether it is a Greyhound dog rescue, one at a time, or greyhound rescues by the hundreds or by the thousands. The National Greyhound Foundation is there to help another Greyhound adoption Groups, Breeders, Greyhound Rescue Groups or even large Greyhound Track closures. But we can not do it alone. Without your love and support, a greyhound rescue is impossible. Please consider supporting our Greyhound Rescues. A friend is a terrible thing to lose.
