No One Cared But You!
(The Happy II Story)

He weighed 31 lbs. ... was suffering from dehydration and starvation ... rats had eaten his ears partially away ... he'd lost all of his color and was the most pitiful greyhound we have ever rescued. This once aristocratic companion of kings, lay in the sweltering Florida sun, dying. Neighbors, friends, acquaintances watched as he starved ... No one cared, but you! And a 72 yr. old lady.
You gave us the money to save his life. She cared enough to become involved.
Swollen nearly shut from the blistering sun, his trusting eyes blinked up at her. Too weak to raise his head, but with a courageous heart pounding with hope, he crawled on his knees as she coaxed him to come to her. She tenderly lifted him into her car, and brought him to us.
As we rushed him to the hospital, we knew he was in severe danger of death. After a week in the hospital, and six weeks of loving care, 39 lbs. later, he went into his new home. Today he lives with his best friend, a big white turkey named Tom, three greyhounds, a cat, and assorted other dogs. We named him Happy II. Your heart will fill with joy!
Can you believe this is the same dog?
